Hollywood in Ann Arbor

Hello Everyone.

The big news in Ann Arbor this past week? Well, Hollywood paid us a visit in the form of a movie. Lions Gate (one of the large studios in Hollywood) has been filming the movie "Youth in Revolt" in downtown Ann Arbor, more specifically, the intersection of First Street and West Liberty St. No one really knew what was going on when a new hot dog restaurant appeared on the corner one day, called "Too Frank." The strangest part that caught everyone's attention? The building had no back! The next day the Ann Arbor News ran an article stating that the crew for the new movie "Youth in Revolt" starring "Juno"s Michael Cera would be filming at this location. Of course that got the town very excited and soon the streets were blocked off and the film crews were rehearsing the car accident scenes. According to rumors circulating there was to be a staged car accident which would then send a camper into Too Frank's causing it to catch fire! The intersection was closed for the entire week and no pedestrians were allowed anywhere nearby. By the weekend though the crews were gone and the settings as well. Life is back to normal now and Ann Arbor belongs to the townies once again. See you around, Hollywood.

See you all at Too Franks and the movies when "Youth in Revolt" comes out!
