A Bit of Paris...

Bonjour à tous!
This week it was off to Café Félix with me. This restaurant can be found on Main Street (au centre ville) and for me it is a little piece of Paris in the middle of Ann Arbor. It is modeled after the Parisian cafés, including the outdoor seating along the street. Unlike Paris though (but more like the rest of France) the chairs all face each other instead of the street. In Parisian cafés the chairs are arranged so that the customers appear to be watching a stage- that is the streets of Paris. Inside Café Félix there is a large sign for the famous café Café Flore in Paris, which was one of Ernest Hemmingway's favorite hangout spots. Another famous hangout of his was Les Deux Magots, right next door to Café Flore. The Interior of Café Félix very much reminds me of Les Deux Magots by Place St-Germain-des-Prés in Paris. My friend Kristin and I try to make it to Café Félix as much as we can on Wednesdays because after 7pm their bottles of wine are half-priced. We also love this restaurant because we can get the best Croque Monsieurs in town and it truly reminds us of France, which we are both missing horribly. So stop by sometime and have a glass of red wine with us.

Bonne semaine à tout le monde!

See you at Café Félix for cocktails!
