Something New In Town..

Last week when the last camper pulled out of the town and all the excited Michigan fans settled back into their lives after the unexpected Michigan victory, the town was still buzzing. The big news?? A new store...a new Whole Foods Market!! There is already one Whole Foods in Ann Arbor but the opening of the new store has been anticipated for quite sometime! The new store is larger and has tons of new things to explore... including a gelato/chocolate bar, a wine & beer bar, a pizza station, and the Asian Express counter with lots of great combinations! Check it out above!

Whole Foods Market is well-known for their natural and organic products which range from groceries to pet, floral, and household products. Originally started in Austin, Texas in 1980 Whole Foods Market has branched out all over the country and into Canada and even across the pond to the UK. Well, the newest addition to the total of 270 locations across the Northern Hemisphere is found in southwestern Ann Arbor. For the Grand Opening Whole Foods pulled out all the stops including a large bag of inflatable fruit at the side of the building by the parking lot (the man walking his dog gives some sense of proportion)! The oversized grocery bag could not quite compare to the crowning jewel... the dancing fruit!

While out driving two Sundays ago I stopped at the intersection of Ann Arbor-Saline Rd and Eisenhower to wait for the light. Something caught my attention at that moment... the dancing fruit. To advertise the opening of the new Whole Foods there were four people dressed as fruits on the corner and they were dancing! I was thoroughly surprised and amused and was able to quick snap a picture for you all. Going through a Whole Foods Market is truly an experience so I suggest that the next time you are in town check out the new Whole Foods!

Have a great week, everyone!
